The new bottling Friar John Cor Congregation Chapter II

The limited bottling Friar John Cor Congregation Chapter II from Lindores Abbey Distillery is a real treat for connoisseurs and lovers of whiskey. It was matured in bourbon , STR and peated rum casks and bottled at cask strength. Of particular interest are the peated rum casks , which previously held heavily peated Islay whiskey.

The amber bottling exudes a nose full of flavors of maple syrup, roasted banana, fruity dates, apples, spicy cinnamon, caramelized Demerara sugar and slightly earthy peat. The taste is reminiscent of intensely fruity pear, roasted banana, spicy cinnamon and caramelized almonds, followed by pleasantly earthy peat and subtle maritime notes. The texture is velvety, well balanced and complex.

Particularly noteworthy is the long-lasting and characterful aftertaste, which rounds off the enjoyment of this bottling.

The Lindores Abbey Distillery Friar John Cor Congregation Chapter II is an exclusive whiskey that occupies a special position on the shelf of a whiskey lover due to the limited bottling and the excellent maturation. The combination of different cask types and the use of peated rum casks make this bottling a unique creation.
