Mit der Spectrum Series 1.0 stellt Cadenhead’s die unterschiedlichen Einflüsse von Sherryfässern auf den Single Malt von Tullibardine in den Mittelpunkt. Für „The Sherry Universe“ werden Whiskys aus Pedro-Ximénez-, Oloroso-, Fino-, Amontillado- und Manzanilla-Sherryfässern zusammengeführt. Die ausschließlich für Deutschland vorgesehene limitierte Edition eröffnet damit einen vielseitigen Blick auf die Sherryreifung.
Die Bandbreite der verwendeten Sherrystile reicht von den feinen maritimen Anklängen des Manzanilla bis zur üppigen Tiefe des Pedro Ximénez. Zur Komposition gehören auch Refill-PX-Fässer, die zuvor Springbank enthielten.
Abgestimmt im Blending Laboratory
Nach der Reifung im Lagerhaus von Cadenhead’s bestimmten Cameron McGeachy und Ranald Watson im Blending Laboratory die Anteile der fünf Sherryvariationen. Ihre Zusammenstellung verbindet die verschiedenen Fasseinflüsse zu einer eigenständigen Interpretation von Tullibardine und bildet den Auftakt der Spectrum Series.
