Tullibardine 12 Years Old
With the Spectrum Series 1.0, Cadenhead’s focuses on the diverse influences of sherry casks on the single malt from Tullibardine. For "The Sherry Universe," whiskies from Pedro Ximénez, Oloroso, Fino, Amontillado, and Manzanilla sherry casks are brought together. This limited edition, intended exclusively for Germany, thus opens up a versatile view of sherry maturation.
The range of sherry styles used extends from the subtle maritime notes of the Manzanilla to the lush depth of the Pedro Ximénez. The composition also includes refill PX casks that previously held Springbank.
Blended in the Blending Laboratory
After maturation in Cadenhead’s warehouse, Cameron McGeachy and Ranald Watson determined the proportions of the five sherry variations in the Blending Laboratory. Their blend combines the various cask influences into a unique interpretation of Tullibardine and marks the debut of the Spectrum Series.
