Speyside Malt 2009/2025 15 Years SMoS
This single malt from the Speyside region embodies the secrets of Scottish distilling. Although the exact distillery remains unknown, the flavor profile reveals the typical characteristics of this renowned whisky region. Its anonymous origins make this single malt a special treasure for explorers.
This whisky matured entirely in an Oloroso sherry butt for fifteen years, developing an intense and complex flavor profile. The Spanish sherry cask #1 imparted its dark color and characteristic notes of dried fruit, spice, and nutty accents to the Speyside malt. The maturation period from November 2009 to April 2025 created a whisky with the region's typical balance of fruitiness and spicy depth.
With a powerful 57.5% alcohol by volume, this whisky was bottled unfiltered and without additives. This natural approach preserves all the flavor compounds from the long Oloroso maturation and ensures an authentic taste experience. The deep, mahogany hue derives exclusively from the intensive interaction with the sherry cask.
Elixir Distillers produced only 657 bottles of this limited edition from the "Single Malts of Scotland" series.
