17 Year Old Single Malt from Islay
This Secret Islay comes from an unnamed distillery on the Scottish island of Islay. Distilled in 2008, this single malt was bottled in 2026 after 17 years of maturation. A total of 333 bottles were produced from single cask #11898. The alcohol content is 54.6% ABV; the bottling is free from artificial coloring and chill filtration.
Aromas between peat smoke and sweet notes
Distinctive smoke defines the profile of this amber-colored whisky. This is accompanied by malty sweetness, fruit accents, and spicy wood notes.
- Nose: Caramel and toffee combine with malt, dark dried fruits, and a fine citrus accent.
- Palate: Full-bodied with powerful Islay smoke, dark chocolate, and spicy oak.
- Finish: Long-lasting with a subtle hint of aniseed.
Presentation and enjoyment
The 0.7-liter bottle is delivered in a tube. For tasting, we recommend enjoying it neat to experience the individual facets of smoke, sweetness, and spice.
