Ocho Tequila Anejo
Tequila Ocho Single Estate Corralillos Añejo is living proof of the importance of terroir in tequila. Only the ripest, overripe agave plants from the highland fields of Jalisco are harvested for this distillate. As a single-estate tequila, each bottling comes from a single growing area, the Corralillos field, thus capturing the unique influences of the local microclimate.
After distillation, this añejo matures for a full year in older, former American whiskey barrels. This aging results in a complex, agave-focused profile, subtly complemented by oak notes, giving the tequila a special depth.
The taste experience begins on the nose with aromas of cooked agave, sweet dried fruits, and a hint of salted chocolate. On the palate, a fascinating cocoa spice unfolds, transitioning into butterscotch. The finish is long and creamy, rounding out the complex profile of this tequila.
