Macallan Art is the Flower
The Macallan Art Is The Flower is a limited-edition bottling of the renowned Speyside whisky, presented in 2024 in collaboration with the Charles Rennie Mackintosh Society. Named after Mackintosh's 1902 lecture "Art is the Flower," this whisky reflects the connection between art and nature. It was matured in carefully selected, sherry-seasoned European oak casks and bottled at 50.4% ABV.
On the nose, an elegant bouquet of dried fruits unfolds, including raisins and figs, accompanied by notes of polished oak, cherry, orange, almonds, and syrup. On the palate, the whisky presents itself with sweet oak, vanilla, ginger, apple, and a hint of tea leaves. The finish is long, sweet, rich, and full. This bottling is a true masterpiece for lovers of complex and artfully crafted whiskies.
