Lindores Abbey 2021/2026 1st Fill Bourbon Ex Oloroso Cask Finish Thompson Bros

Dieser junge Lowland Single Malt wurde am 4. März 2021 bei Lindores Abbey destilliert. Zunächst reifte er in einem First Fill Ex-Bourbon Barrel, bevor Thompson Bros. ihn im Oktober 2024 für das Finish in ein STR Oloroso Hogshead umfüllte. Nach insgesamt fünf Jahren kamen 2026 nur 299 Flaschen mit 55,9 % Vol. auf den Markt. Abgefüllt wurde ohne Farbstoff und ohne Kühlfiltrierung.

In der Nase verbinden sich rote Trauben und Erdbeerbonbons mit Kaffee, Eukalyptus und herber Walnusshaut. Am Gaumen folgen wilde Erdbeeren, Feigen und Karamell, begleitet von dunklen Trauben, Haselnusskaffee und einer feinen Kaffeesüße. Der Nachklang bleibt frisch, leicht mentholisch und führt noch einmal zu den roten Fruchtnoten zurück.
