Kilchoman 9 Years 100% Islay The 15th Edition Bourbon Barrels
This limited edition was distilled from the 2014 and 2015 Kilchoman barley harvests and then matured for at least nine years in 54 different ex-bourbon casks. Bottled at 50.0% ABV, the single malt presents intense notes of caramel and vanilla, thanks to its careful maturation in ex-bourbon casks, which harmonize with the natural citrus sweetness of Kilchoman and the Islay peat smoke.
Kilchoman's 100% Islay philosophy : The annual 100% Islay editions are certainly among the most spectacular Scottish single malts, as they are the only single-farm single malts released. No other distillery uses its own barley fields directly on the distillery's doorstep, making the Kilchoman Distillery unique and incomparable.
