Kilchoman 2014/2024 1st Fill Bourbon Sister Cask 1 650/2014
To mark the 50th anniversary of the Hanseatic Wine Trading Company, six exceptional and previously unpublished
Kilchoman casks "Sister Casks" were selected and released as "One-of-a-Kind" editions to mark the anniversary. These single casks were personally selected by
Peter Wills and Stephan Ehmke selected the spirits in the distillery's barrel cellar to highlight the distillery's absolute special features.
For comparison, two additional bottlings from 1st Fill Bourbon sister casks are available. Both casks were distilled on September 9, 2010, and bottled on February 5, 2024. You simply have to try both casks for comparison. This is the 1st sister cask of the 9-year-old 1st Fill Bourbon casks with 100% Islay barley, paired with cask 653/2014 . The complete series includes two Oloroso Sherry sister casks, two 1st Fill Bourbon casks, and two 100% Islay casks . This bottling was peated at 20 ppm and is therefore slightly smoky.
This is not a finish, it is a 9 year old 1st Fill Bourbon fully matured with 100% Islay barley.
