Kavalan Peatist Ex Oloroso Sherry
With the Peatist series, KAVALAN opens a new chapter, demonstrating how peat can be masterfully used under subtropical conditions. Instead of focusing on intense smokiness, the emphasis is on a harmonious balance: peat is used here as an aromatic accent, not as a dominant element. The Kavalan Peatist Oloroso Sherry Cask is specially tailored to the Taiwanese climate and combines a gentle smokiness with fruity depth. Matured in select Oloroso sherry casks from the traditional Sherry Triangle, this bottling unites the typical aromas of dark dried fruits with the tropical notes that characterize Kavalan.
As with the Solist series, the Peatist bottlings are also single casks at cask strength.
