Highland Park 17 Years The Dark
The Dark and The Light are concepts that exist in opposition, but together create a perfect balance, inspiring the eponymous limited editions. The Dark 17 Year Old is a whisky for reflection; in it, we celebrate autumn and winter on Orkney—a time to escape the wild weather outside and gather with friends and family, spending long nights chatting and laughing by the fire.
The Dark is a rich and powerful single malt whisky, matured exclusively in sherry-seasoned oak casks and presented in an embossed black glass bottle. The serpent-dragon design is inspired by the great Norse sagas, encompassing both the high sun of the summer solstice and the low sun of the winter solstice, while the runic script reflects the ancient carvings of our Viking ancestors here in Orkney.
