Description
Batch 14 of the Kilkerran Heavily Peated series showcases the smoky side of the Glengyle Distillery in Campbeltown. Peated to around 45 ppm, this single malt was compiled from 90% bourbon and 10% sherry casks and bottled at cask strength with 58.3% ABV. No artificial coloring or chill-filtration was used. Honeycomb and wholemeal toast meet grilled seafood and smoked bacon on the nose. On the palate, powerful smoke, lemon shortbread, ham, and melon combine. The balanced finish brings together peat smoke, lemon zest, icing, and a sweet, buttery mouthfeel.
