The Glenfarclas 2015/2026 First Fill Sherry #2121 The Caskhound is a single malt whisky from Glenfarclas in Speyside, Scotland.
Description
This Glenfarclas was distilled on March 30, 2015, and matured for eleven years entirely in First Fill Sherry Butt #2121. Tilo Schnabel of The Caskhound personally selected the cask during a warehouse tasting in Speyside. On August 10, 2026, the single malt was bottled at a natural cask strength of 60.8% ABV. Limited to 644 bottles, this release is non-chill filtered and contains no added coloring.
On the nose, the Glenfarclas combines dark sherry fruit with raisins, dried plums, dates, robust malt, cocoa, toasted almonds, and espresso. On the palate, it is full-bodied and oily with rum-pot fruits, black cherries, blackberry jam, dark chocolate, oak, and hints of leather and tobacco. The long, warming finish brings out espresso, walnut, fine wood, and winter spices. A few drops of water open up additional fruity and creamy facets.
