Glenburgie 15 years 2010/2025 Crazy Coos Reloaded Moscatel Finish Caskhound
This Glenburgie is part of the Crazy Cow series from the independent bottler The Caskhound, founded by Thilo Schnabel. The single malt matured for many years in a bourbon cask and then received a 15-month finish in a Moscatel sherry cask. The combination of single cask maturation, the absence of chill filtration and added coloring, and the robust alcohol content of 56.2% ABV makes this whisky, with its striking "crazy cow" on the label, a true insider tip for connoisseurs and explorers of single malts.
Even on the nose, the Glenburgie is inviting and fruity. Notes of peach, apricot, and light grapes are reminiscent of a bowl of ripe fruit. A creamy sweetness of vanilla, crème brûlée, and a hint of honey complements the bouquet, while in the background, soft, slightly malty Glenburgie notes, floral nuances, and a touch of orange blossom resonate.
