Edradour cask #42 was selected for Whisky Live Germany 2026. This Highland single malt was distilled on January 29, 2020, and matured for six years in a first-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry hogshead. In 2026, it yielded 318 bottles at a cask strength of 59.9% ABV. This single cask bottling contains no added coloring and is non-chill filtered.
Fruit, sweetness, and roasted aromas
The non-peated profile combines dried fruits with caramel notes and dark roasted aromas.
- Nose: Figs and raisins meet caramel and spicy accents.
- Palate: Creamy toffee notes and dark cocoa define the powerful taste.
- Finish: Long-lasting, with roasted coffee and slightly dry impressions.
A few drops of water offer the opportunity to explore the aromas at a lower drinking strength. This Edradour is bottled in 0.7-liter bottles and comes with a tube.
