18 years of maturation in Amarone casks
This single malt from the Scottish Highlands combines Edradour's distillate with the influence of Italian red wine casks. Distillation in 2007 was followed by 18 years of maturation in 1st Fill DFR Amarone Casks. The whisky was bottled in 2026 at 46.0% vol. Its amber color is natural, without the addition of coloring; chill filtration was also avoided.
Dark fruits, chocolate and pepper
- Nose: Dark fruit aromas combine with spices and a subtle woody tone.
- Palate: Black cherries, wild berries, and dark chocolate define the profile. The mouthfeel is velvety and full.
- Finish: Long-lasting with pink pepper and tannins from the wine cask.
This non-peated Edradour is perfect for enjoying neat at room temperature. This allows the fruit, spice, and the influences of the Amarone casks to be explored at leisure.
