Der Dalmore Port Wood Reserve ist ein Single Malt Whisky von Dalmore aus Highlands in Schottland.
The Dalmore Port Wood Reserve ist ein vollmundiger Highland Single Malt mit deutlichem Portwein-Einfluss. Er reift zunächst in American White Oak Ex-Bourbon Barrels und wird anschließend in gereiften Tawny Port Pipes veredelt. So verbindet er den reichen Dalmore-Hausstil mit fruchtiger Tiefe und eleganter Süße.
Im Aroma zeigen sich rote Beeren, Sevilla-Orangen, Pflaumenfrucht und süße Toffee-Noten. Am Gaumen folgen Nektarinen, cremiges Karamell, geröstete Kastanien und feine Kaffeenoten. Der Nachklang bringt Pflaumen, Sultaninen, Blutorangen und eingelegte Kirschen mit. Mit 46,5% Vol. wirkt der Dalmore Port Wood Reserve kräftig, rund und angenehm üppig.
