Dailuaine 2008/2025 16 years SMoS

This single malt from the Speyside region showcases the powerful side of Scottish whisky tradition. The Dailuaine Distillery , whose malts are usually found in blends, is rarely available as a standalone single malt.

After 16 years of maturation in an Oloroso sherry hogshead, a whisky of complex depth developed. Sherry cask #40236 imbued the distillate with dark fruits and spicy notes typical of this cask type. Maturation from October 2008 to April 2025 allowed for the full integration of all flavors.

At 56.7% ABV, this whisky was bottled unfiltered and without additives. This natural approach preserves the original texture and all the flavor compounds from the long maturation period. The dark color comes exclusively from the interaction with the sherry wood.

Elixir Distillers bottled only 286 bottles of this limited edition. Each bottle bears the "Single Malts of Scotland" label and represents a rare opportunity to experience Dailuaine as a single malt.
