Chateau Ste Michelle Canoe Ridge Estate Chardonay 2019
The Chateau Ste. Michelle Canoe Ridge Estate Chardonnay is an outstanding example of the art of winemaking in Washington's renowned wine region. This Chardonnay comes from the prestigious Canoe Ridge Estate, whose vineyards are characterized by optimal climatic conditions and well-aerated soils.
The nose unfolds a complex bouquet combining notes of ripe apples, pears, and citrus fruits, underscored by hints of vanilla and toasted oak. This aromatic diversity is further enhanced by the careful selection and selective aging in French oak barrels, some new and some used. Aging on the fine lees further imparts an elegant creaminess and depth to the wine, making it particularly appealing.
On the palate, the Chardonnay presents a vibrant freshness and a harmonious balance between fruity intensity and a fine, mineral note. The pleasant acidity structure provides a lively dynamic that sustains the enjoyment until the last drop. The long finish leaves subtle hints of citrus and nuttiness, underscoring the wine's complexity.
