The Bunnahabhain 31 Year Old 1991/2023 from Murray McDavid's exclusive Mission Gold series is an exceptionally mature Islay single malt at 42.6% ABV. Distilled in 1991 and bottled in 2023 after more than three decades of maturation, this whisky is presented at natural strength without chill filtration or added coloring.
On the nose, it reveals elegant aromas of honey, dried fruit, delicate vanilla, and a hint of maritime freshness. On the palate, it is wonderfully soft, complex, and balanced with notes of oak, spices, toffee, and ripe apples. The finish is long, smooth, and accompanied by a subtle sweetness.
