Ardbeg Smoketrails Manzanilla Edition
The Ardbeg Distillery, located on the Scottish island of Islay, has released its first exclusive whisky range: Ardbeg Smoketrails. Head Distiller Dr. Bill Lumsden crafted the series in American oak casks and Spanish sherry casks from near Sanlúcar de Barrameda. Ardbeg Smoketrails has an intense character and 46% ABV. Its taste is both smooth and smoky, ranging from salty sea spray to nutty aromas and chocolate—every sip will leave you wanting more! The Ardbeg Distillery has stood on Islay since 1815 and tells the story of nearly two centuries of tumultuous whisky history. Ardbeg was founded by John McDougall and purchased 20 years later by the Glasgow merchant Thomas Buchanan. Under the new ownership, it was highly successful, employing nearly a third of the island's population by 1877. Despite its ups and downs over the years, the distillery lives on today, and the stories of whisky from days gone by resonate in every sip, even with Ardbeg Smoketrails!
