Vital Spark 15 Years 2009 The Maltman Rum Cask For Germany
The Vital Spark Rum Cask was bottled to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the collaboration between Meadowside Blending and the German importer Alba Import. Donald and Andy Hart, the founders of Meadowside Blending, selected a special rum cask in which this Vital Spark Single Malt matured for its entire 15-year aging period. The cask imparted aromas of maple syrup and bacon to the heavily peated expression, complemented by salty licorice, forest honey, dried figs, and lychee, which unfold on the palate.
At 54.6% ABV and cask strength, this whisky perfectly showcases its intensity and delights both single malt connoisseurs and experienced enthusiasts with a pleasant warmth that can be felt from the nose to the stomach.
