North British 29 years 1995/2025 James Eadie
This 29-year-old North British was bottled by independent bottler James Eadie as part of "The Distilleries of Great Britain & Ireland" collection. The series is inspired by historical photographs, detailed distillery records, and tasting notes, which the descendant of the legendary brewery and pub owner immortalized in a book and in special bottlings.
Between 1922 and 1929, James Eadie and his team visited a total of 124 distilleries, which they meticulously documented and photographed. These valuable insights were compiled in a book by Eadie's great-great-grandson, Rupert Patrick. Based on the photographs and notes from this work, each whisky in the collection was carefully selected to reflect the character and flavor profile of its respective distillery. After varying maturation periods, the whiskies were finally bottled at cask strength, without the addition of colorings or chill-filtering.
