Longmorn with 17 years of Oloroso maturation
A first fill Oloroso butt shaped this single malt from the Scottish Speyside during its entire 17-year maturation period. Distilled in 2008, this Longmorn was bottled in 2026 for the Highland Laird series. 455 bottles were produced from the single cask number 1240.
At 53.1% ABV, the non-peated whisky combines distinct fruit notes with nutty aromas and spices. It was bottled without chill filtration and without the addition of coloring.
Aromas and taste
- Nose: Raisins and roasted walnuts meet the sweetness of Oloroso sherry.
- Palate: A powerful, full-bodied impression with cinnamon and cloves, complemented by a subtle accent of orange peel.
- Finish: Long finish with hints of coffee and dark chocolate.
Serving suggestion
A nosing glass at room temperature is ideal for exploring the aromas. In addition to enjoying it neat, adding a few drops of water allows you to experience how the oak spice and malty sweetness develop in the glass.
