Holyrood 5 Years 2020/2026 Oloroso Sherry Hogshead - Master of Malt
This single malt from the Scottish Lowlands is a prime example of the combination of youthful dynamism and profound cask maturation. A interplay of dark fruit and roasted notes, the distillate shimmers in the glass in a warm honey tone and immediately exudes intense aromas of roasted hazelnut and dark chocolate. The Holyrood distillery is at the heart of this bottling.
Cask Maturation and Origin
Distilled in December 2020, this spirit made from malted barley was allowed to mature for five years in a selected Oloroso Sherry Hogshead before reaching its completion in March 2026. The independent bottler Master of Malt is responsible for this selection, of which only 330 bottles exist worldwide.
Aroma
On the palate, it reveals a creamy texture, accompanied by sweet raisins, vanilla, and a delicate spice of espresso.
