Three Decades of Craftsmanship under the Seal of Symington Distilled in the heart of Speyside, this single malt's journey began on September 5, 1995, at the Glenburgie distillery. This particular cask type is known for its ability to impart a dry, nutty structure to the distillate without dominating the original fruitiness.
Cask Maturation and Origin
The choice of cask often dictates the path a distillate takes, but only time gives it its true depth. The renowned independent bottler Signatory Vintage chose the prestigious "Symington's Choice" label within the Cask Strength Collection for this dram. After long years of maturation, the whisky received its distinctive finish in a 1st Fill Amontillado Hogshead.
Aroma Profile
The bouquet reveals a complex layering of ripe peaches, dried figs, and a subtle hint of orange peel, carried by a gentle honeyed sweetness. On the palate, it is creamy and full-bodied; here, malt and caramel meet the typical elegance of Amontillado sherry.
