Fantini Edizione Cinque Autoctoni 2020
The Farnese Edizione Cinque Autoctoni is a masterful blend from Italy that combines the best of two southern wine regions. Five native grape varieties—35% Montepulciano, 30% Primitivo, 25% Sangiovese, 5% Negroamaro, and 5% Malvasia Nera—create a wine in which each variety makes its unique contribution to a harmonious overall picture.
Indigenous grape varieties are deeply rooted in their region of origin and have adapted to local conditions over centuries or even millennia. They tell the story of their region and produce wines that reflect the essence of their homeland through their distinctive character and flavor.
The production of the Farnese Edizione Cinque Autoctoni is characterized by artisanal precision and attention to detail. After vinification of the individual grape varieties, the wine is aged for 13 months in barriques and bottled unfiltered. This process gives it its deep red color and characteristically dry flavor.
