This Craigellachie , matured entirely in a sherry hogshead (No. 900679A), was distilled on October 23, 2007, and bottled exactly 18 years later, on October 23, 2025. With an alcohol content of 53.7% ABV, this single malt is the third release in a special series.
Even on the nose, an unmistakable warehouse aroma unfolds: deep wood and whisky notes, accompanied by a hint of dust and a touch of magic. Rum-soaked raisins and nutty chocolate create a comforting yet refined sensation, while the soft sherry sweetness gently settles over it. A bittersweet, fruity accent of orange marmalade complements the aroma, rounded off by buttery caramel. A hint of peach shimmers through, before candied ginger provides a spicy, tingling finish.
