Chambery Vermouth Routine Original Rouge
The uniqueness of Routin Rouge lies in its impressive history, dating back to 1883. It was then that Philibert Routin created this exceptional vermouth in Chambéry, consisting of an alchemical blend of 24 herbs and spices. Proudly bearing the name of its inventor, Routin Original Rouge vermouth combines white French Sauvignon with local Jacquère wine. Its distinctive flavor is created by a special maceration process that perfectly enhances the aromas.
As one of the distillery's oldest products, Vermouth Routin Original Rouge is one of Philibert Routin's most famous creations. For over 130 years, the distillers have been inspired by his original recipe, which encompasses a harmonious combination of 24 botanicals and spices. This typical Savoyard aperitif owes its unique flavor to a special aging process: Half of the final product is aged in oak barrels to achieve perfect balance.
Storage instructions: Unopened bottles should be stored upright and like spirits. Once opened, it is recommended to keep the vermouth cool. Since fortified wines are sensitive to oxygen, this can impair the aromatic bouquet and flavor. Storing it in the refrigerator slows oxidation and preserves the aromas longer.
