Caol Ila with Chardonnay finish
This ten-year-old Single Malt from Islay combines the smoky character of Caol Ila with a finish in a 1st Fill Chardonnay Butt. The cask comes from the South Tyrolean winery St. Michael-Eppan. Distillation in 2016 was followed by bottling in 2026; cask #9 yielded a total of 674 bottles.
This single cask bottling has a cask strength of 57.6% ABV and is bottled without artificial coloring or chill filtration.
Aromas and taste
- Nose: Fresh citrus and green apple combine with vanilla and hints of salt.
- Palate: A powerful, oily texture carries yellow fruit and creamy sweetness. Peat smoke complements the interplay of aromas.
- Finish: Long-lasting and dry, with salty, mineral notes and citrus zest.
