50 Jahre im Hogshead
Dieser Single Grain aus der Cameronbridge-Brennerei in den schottischen Lowlands wurde am 7. April 1976 destilliert und 2026 nach 50 Jahren Reifung abgefüllt. Die gesamte Reifezeit verbrachte er im Hogshead mit der Fassnummer 900010. Das Einzelfass ergab 243 Flaschen.
Die Edition gehört zur Cask Strength Collection und entstand anlässlich des 50-jährigen Jubiläums von Kirsch Import. Sie besitzt einen Alkoholgehalt von 47,1% Vol. und wurde ohne Farbstoff sowie ohne Kühlfiltrierung abgefüllt. Zur Ausstattung der 0,7-Liter-Flasche gehört eine schwarze Metalldose.
Aromen und Geschmack
Der bernsteinfarbene, nicht rauchige Whisky verbindet süße Aromen mit dem würzigen Einfluss der langen Fassreifung.
- Nase: Vanille, cremiges Karamell und Honig treffen auf die Würze alter Eiche.
- Gaumen: Reife Früchte begleiten malzige Weizennoten.
- Nachklang: Langanhaltend mit einer feinen Eichenwürze.
