Bruichladdich Octomore 17.3
With Octomore 17.3, Bruichladdich puts the focus on the barley and the character of Islay. The barley used is sourced exclusively from a single field at the Octomore farm on the island.
On the nose, salted caramel, smoked apple, and toasted coconut combine with praline and vanilla cream. Earthy peat and maritime freshness add depth and tension to the profile.
On the palate, dry, ashy smoke and powerful peat meet sweet malt, vanilla, and caramel. Citrus oils and a distinct saltiness provide fresh accents. The long, dry finish preserves the smoky and coastal character.
