The choice of cask and time shape this characterful whisky. The Ballechin, distilled in 2010 at the Edradour distillery, matured for 15 years in 1st Fill Bourbon casks and was selected by Signatory Vintage for the "Un-chillfiltered Collection". Without chill filtration or added coloring, it impresses with its natural amber color and viscous texture. Powerful peat smoke meets vanilla sweetness, ripe fruits, and dark chocolate, while 46% ABV ensures an intense mouthfeel. This limited single malt develops its aromas best neat in a nosing glass and is a delight for lovers of smoky whiskies with fine oak spice.
