Ardnamurchan Tokaji Cask Release Unpeated
The AD/ Tokaji Cask Release is Ardnamurchan's first Tokaji cask bottling. It uses 100% unpeated spirit, matured from a combination of 28 Bourbon barrels, which were decanted into Tokaji casks, plus 2 casks fully matured in Bourbon barrels. A total of 8,736 bottles were filled. Alcohol: 52% Vol., non-chill filtered and without added colour.
Aromatically, Ardnamurchan notes bright fruit notes such as pear and green apple, along with floral and slightly funky hints. On the palate, it leans towards almonds, nashi pear, sweet and salty popcorn, spices, candied ginger, and subtle woody notes. The finish is described as salty, spicy, and well-balanced.
