The Macallan Double Cask 12 Years Old represents a harmonious blend of classic Macallan quality with the characteristic sweetness of American oak. This fine single malt whisky is created by maturing in two different types of casks: traditional European oak casks previously filled with sherry, and American oak casks, also used for sherry storage. This careful selection of casks gives the whisky a complex and multi-layered flavor structure.
On the nose, the Macallan Double Cask 12 Years Old unfolds seductive aromas of sweet fudge and fresh citrus fruits, accompanied by a hint of floral notes. On the palate, a full-bodied body offers the perfect balance between rich sweetness and gentle spices.
