Ardbeg Heavy Vapors 2023 Special Committee Only Edition
Here we have a very interesting release from the Ardbeg distillery on Islay: 'Heavy Vapours'. For this experimental whisky , Ardbeg decided to remove the purifier during distillation. The purifier is a copper kettle that captures the heaviest vapors during distillation and condenses them back into liquid (called reflux). The purifier keeps the Ardbeg distillation process well-balanced, resulting in a harmony of delicate fruit aromas and subtle peat. But not this time; removing this process has created the strongest and most intense Ardbeg ever.
This single malt was bottled as a Special Committee Only Edition at 50.2% ABV and comes without outer packaging.
