Woodford Double Double Oaked
Woodford Reserve Double Double Oaked derives its intense, complex and spicy character from an extended second barrel aging. The bourbon spends twice as long in this barrel as the Double Oaked, which is also reflected in the additional “Double” in its name.
After its initial maturation in new American white oak, the bourbon is transferred to a heavily toasted, only lightly charred oak barrel. The longer maturation in this barrel accentuates the bourbon’s spicy side, while the classic Double Oaked highlights softer and sweeter notes.
