Achtjähriger Whitlaw mit PX-Sherry-Prägung
Dieser schottische Single Malt aus der Region Islands verbindet dunkle Fruchtnoten mit einer zurückhaltenden Rauchigkeit. Er wurde 2018 destilliert und 2026 im Alter von acht Jahren für die Un-Chillfiltered Collection abgefüllt. Den Fasscharakter prägen 1st Fill PX Sherry Butts, also erstbefüllte Pedro-Ximénez-Sherryfässer.
Mit 46,0% vol. kommt der Whitlaw ohne Kühlfiltrierung und ohne zugesetzten Farbstoff in die Flasche. Die Abfüllung umfasst 0,7 Liter und wird in einer Tube angeboten.
Aromen und Geschmack
- Nase: Rosinen und Datteln stehen im Vordergrund, begleitet von sanftem Rauch und würzigen Akzenten.
- Gaumen: Karamell und ausgeprägte Malznoten treffen auf ein dichtes, sirupartiges Mundgefühl.
- Nachklang: Anhaltende Süße, Würze und Trockenfruchtnoten bestimmen den Ausklang.
