Stauning Rye PX Sherry Oak
The Stauning R.Y.E. PX Sherry Oak combines Stauning's distinctive Danish rye style with the sweet depth of Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. The base consists of locally grown rye and barley, traditionally floor-malted at Stauning and distilled in small, directly fired copper pot stills.
After aging in the typical Stauning R.Y.E. style, the whisky receives a finish in PX sherry casks. This imparts dark fruit, sweet sherry notes, warm spices, and an elegant depth, alongside the spicy rye structure. The finish is long, round, and generous.
