Six years of tropical maturation on Réunion
For this edition of the Unshared Cask Collection, Savanna Rum was matured for six years in ex-Cognac cask number #1037. The entire maturation took place under tropical conditions in the Chai Humide, the distillery's humid aging cellar on Réunion. This single cask was bottled in 2026 for the German market. The release is limited to 700 bottles.
This Rhum Traditionnel is produced from sugarcane juice and molasses and distilled in the Savanna column. It is bottled at 64.0% ABV cask strength, without chill-filtration and without added coloring.
Fruit, caramel and spicy wood notes
- Color: Rich honey hue.
- Nose: Yellow, ripe fruits meet candied citrus. Vanilla and cedar wood complement the profile.
- Palate: Ripe orange, dark caramel and toasted notes come to the fore, accompanied by subtle nutmeg spice and dry wood.
- Finish: Long-lasting, with fine tannins and woody accents.
Serving recommendation
To fully appreciate this rum, enjoy it neat at room temperature. A few drops of water can help open up the fruit and spice aromas further.
