Roggenbetonter Whiskey aus Kentucky
Beim Rosewood 6 Jahre Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey prägt der hohe Roggenanteil das aromatische Profil. Die Mashbill aus 95% Roggen und 5% Gerstenmalz bildet die Grundlage für seine ausgeprägte Würze. Nach mindestens sechs Jahren Reifung in Kentucky werden die Whiskeys für diese Small-Batch-Abfüllung in kleinen Chargen zusammengeführt.
Abgefüllt wird mit 45% vol., ohne Kühlfiltrierung und ohne Zusatz von Farbstoff. Im Glas zeigt sich ein Honigton mit rötlichen Akzenten.
Aromen und Geschmack
- Nase: Geröstetes Getreide und deutliche Roggenwürze verbinden sich mit schwarzem Pfeffer und Backgewürzen. Vanille setzt einen dezenten Akzent.
- Gaumen: Kräftig und trocken, mit Zimt, Pfeffer und Noten von geröstetem Holz.
- Nachklang: Anhaltende Würze mit trockenem Ausklang.
Das nicht rauchige Profil spricht besonders Liebhaber würziger Rye Whiskeys an. Zum Genießen bietet sich die Abfüllung pur oder mit einem Tropfen Wasser an.
