The twelve-year maturation in a first-fill bourbon cask gives this heavily peated whisky an impressive balance of intense smokiness and sweet-fruity notes. On the nose, powerful peat smoke, vanilla, citrus, and a maritime freshness are present. On the palate, it is full-bodied and complex with aromas of sweet malt, coconut, spices, and salty sea air. The long, smoky finish underscores the uncompromising yet elegant character of this limited 0.7-liter single cask bottling.
