Die sechste Edition der Quiet Rebels-Serie ist Whisky-Blender Matthew gewidmet. Seine Begeisterung für das Kino und kontrastreiche Aromen prägt diesen Single Malt von Nc'nean aus den schottischen Highlands. Die limitierte Abfüllung aus dem Jahr 2026 wird mit 48,5% vol. angeboten.
Die Fasskomposition setzt sich aus 47% Manzanilla-, 51% Bourbon- und 2% Oloroso-Sherryfässern zusammen. Die verwendeten Manzanilla-Hogsheads wurden zuvor über 24 Monate in Jerez konditioniert. Sie steuern feine salzige Akzente zum Profil bei.
Aromen und Geschmack
- Nase: Ananaskuchen, warm anmutende Gebäcknoten und cremiges Karamell treffen auf dezente Nussaromen.
- Gaumen: Süße und salzige Popcornnoten verbinden sich mit gerösteten Haselnüssen. Das Mundgefühl ist kräftig und ölig.
- Nachklang: Zarte Sherry-Tannine und ein Hauch Zitrusfrucht runden das Profil ab.
Herstellung und Genuss
Als Grundlage dient ausschließlich schottische Bio-Gerste. Der nicht rauchige Single Malt wird ohne Farbstoff und ohne Kühlfiltrierung abgefüllt. Zum Kennenlernen seiner Aromen empfiehlt sich der Genuss pur bei Zimmertemperatur.
