Lucente Tenuta Luce Toscana 2023
The Tenuta Luce winery was founded in 1995 from the shared vision of two wine pioneers: Marchese Vittorio Frescobaldi from Florence and Robert Mondavi from California. With their passion and cultural heritage, they wanted to create an exceptional and unique wine in the heart of Montalcino.
Their sons, Lamberto and Tim, then young oenologists, put this vision into practice by combining Sangiovese and Merlot – a first for Montalcino. The result was a wine that unites tradition and innovation. The distinctive label with the Luce sun is inspired by the high altar of the Basilica of Santo Spirito in Florence and symbolizes the connection between light and life.
The 2023 Lucente impresses with its intense ruby-red color. The nose unfolds aromas of ripe blackberries and red currants, complemented by a subtle toasty note. On the palate, it is juicy, lively, and elegant, with ripe, precisely defined tannins that ensure a pleasurable experience and a long, lingering finish.
