Le Galion 2023/2025 The Ester Hunter Catch #8 The Whisky Jury
For the eighth edition of its The Ester Hunter series, The Whisky Jury chose a Grand-Arôme high-ester rum from the Le Galion distillery in Martinique. The rum was distilled in 2023 and bottled in May 2026 from Cask #10/1205. Its ester content is 556.2 g/hl.
Bottled at a natural cask strength of 59.1% vol., the release is uncolored and non-chill filtered. A total of only 255 bottles were produced. Catch #8 thus consistently focuses on Martinique's characterful Grand-Arôme style and the individual development of a single cask.
