La Maison Du Rhum Trinidad & Tobago 2009/2021
The Caribbean islands of Trinidad & Tobago, located off the coast of South America, are known not only for their colorful carnivals, calypso music, and steel bands, but also for their long rum tradition. The robust rums from their numerous distilleries achieved worldwide fame and, together with rums from Jamaica and Guyana, formed the basis of British Navy Rums. Today, Trinidad Distillers Limited is the last remaining distillery on the island. With its state-of-the-art equipment, it produces a variety of rum styles, continuing the tradition of rich and spicy rums. The La Maison Du Rhum Trinidad & Tobago 2009/2021 is an outstanding example of this quality.
This rum was distilled in 2009 using the column still method and then aged for approximately 12 years in former bourbon barrels, where it developed its complex and refined flavor profile. In 2021, 3,740 bottles were bottled at 55% ABV.
