Huppert RISKY Riesling from Whisky Casks
RISKY is a dry Riesling from the Second Spirit range by Terra Preta Weingut Huppert in Gundersheim. The hand-picked grapes come from the Gundersheimer Höllenbrand. After fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the Riesling is aged briefly in a 150-liter cask that previously held whisky. This preserves its fresh wine character while adding traces of charred oak.
Fruit and vibrant acidity meet smoke, peat, and roasted wood. With 0.0 g/l residual sugar, the bottling is uncompromisingly dry and is aimed at curious wine and whisky enthusiasts seeking an unusual combination of both worlds. Legal designation: aromatized wine beverage. Contains sulfites.
