Beschreibung
Rittenhouse steht für einen kräftigen, würzigen Rye-Stil mit historischen Wurzeln in Pennsylvania und wird heute bei Heaven Hill in Kentucky hergestellt. Als Bottled-in-Bond reift der Whisky mindestens vier Jahre, stammt aus einer Destillationsperiode und wird mit genau 100 Proof beziehungsweise 50 % vol. abgefüllt. Seine Roggenwürze und die dezente Maissüße machen ihn pur ebenso interessant wie in klassischen Whiskey-Cocktails.
Trockenfrüchte, Toffee und süßliche Paprika prägen den Duft. Am Gaumen folgen Kakao, Zitrusfrüchte, Zimt, Muskat und Vanille. Im langen Nachklang bleibt eine würzige, an Ahorn erinnernde Süße zurück.
