Mit A Tale of Spices greift Glenmorangie die aromatische Vielfalt bunter Gewürzmärkte auf. Die limitierte Edition stellt süße Gewürznoten und blumige Aromen in den Mittelpunkt. Dr. Bill Lumsden und Master Blender Gillian Macdonald wählten dafür erstmals eine Kombination aus vier Fassarten zur Nachreifung des zuvor in Bourbonfässern gereiften Single Malts.
Vier Fassarten prägen das Profil
Für süße Gewürznoten sorgen marokkanische Rotweinfässer aus französischer Eiche – eine Premiere bei Glenmorangie. Frische, ausgekohlte Eichenfässer verstärken die Würze. Fruchtige Akzente stammen aus ausgeschabten und getoasteten Rotweinfässern, während Pedro-Ximénez-Sherryfässer dem Zusammenspiel eine tiefe, reichhaltige Süße geben.
Blüten, Gewürze und Eukalyptus
Das Duftbild reicht von Rose und Jasmin bis zu Kreuzkümmel, Safran, Muskatnuss, Ingwer und Anis. Dazu kommen süße Mandeltöne und eine ausgeprägte Eukalyptusfrische. Der weiche Charakter des Whiskys trägt diese Verbindung aus floralen Noten und kräftiger Würze.
