Glenfarclas 1997/2012 Sherry Cask
Glenfarclas zählt zu den wenigen schottischen Brennereien, die bis heute familiengeführt sind. Seit 1865 liegt die Speyside-Destillerie in den Händen der Familie Grant. Traditionelle, direkt befeuerte Brennblasen und die langjährige Arbeit mit ausgewählten Sherryfässern prägen die Herstellung. Diese Cask Strength Premium Edition greift genau diesen klassischen Glenfarclas-Stil als limitierte Jahrgangsabfüllung auf.
Der Whisky wurde 1997 destilliert und am 20. Februar 2012 abgefüllt. Dafür vereinte Glenfarclas elf Sherryfässer mit den Nummern 159–162, 2134–2137 und 6378–6380. Die Abfüllung erfolgte mit kräftigen 53,6 % vol. in Fassstärke und war auf 6.000 Flaschen begrenzt. Die Kombination aus Jahrgang, Sherryfassreifung und hoher Abfüllstärke hebt diese Premium Edition deutlich von den regulären Standardabfüllungen der Brennerei ab.
